When Doseone, why? And Odd Nosdam were asked to do a session for John Peel their first reaction was, 'Uh?'. Being American, they could hardly be expected to grasp the significance. So we told them - told them that Mr Peel liked experiment, strangeness, limit-pushing, discord. And then they were interested.
So, over a weekend at Doseone's apartment in the Bay and with help from many of their fellow Anticon brethren (particularly Jel), they pieced together their session - a miniature epic full of Pythonesque screaming, Blair Witch interludes, bicycles with cardboard syncopating the spokes, electro-nonsense etc etc. In other words, another day at the office for the toothsome threesome.
Short, shockingly odd (it makes their album sound conventional), funny and affecting, 'The Peel Session" confirms cLOUDDEAD as a group to watch as they begin work on the second LP and continue to go on about their cat, Purple.
