NEW SIGNING. We have taken on board mad free techno jazz noodle band Loka. Expect a treat next year. 'My Life In These Bottles' will be on Xen Ninja Cuts, our tenth anniversary comp, due out in the autumn.
NEW REMIX. Southend's most famous latin-jazz-soul son, Snowboy, has remixed UB&O's 'Los Locos Cubanos' - the Batarumbaconga remix. It's a blinding hammond and congas beatdown built around a loop from the original and featuring Nico Gomez on bass and Neil Angilley on organ. About 3/4 of the way through it goes bonkers-barmy conga-cerazy. Do not no never miss. Out on 12" in August.
NEW CELBEBRITY GUEST. Apparently, the man himself, (man exactly like) Ken Nordine is due to come down (and perhaps even perform) at the Chicago gig of the MOWOS tour, with Strictly Kev. Genuine live on the spot dub plate of Food action. Yum.
NEW SITE. The peoples behind the super-Flashy Vadim and Food miscrosites, Hi! Res, are currently close to completing one for Amon Tobin. One of the central elements will be an all-new remix engine called SUPERMODIFIER v.1.0. We've seen the protoype and it's a stunner, a little Bobby Dazzler, a spangle-eyed, raven-haired beauty of a thing. When they've completed that they will begin work on a whole new space-pod for Ntone, due to launch early July, with textual rocket fuel supplied by original Ninj philosopher, Kid Chameleon...
